You can find a lot of their stuff for cheaper prices at other stores, and the employees are usually either cold to me or blasé even though they chat up and smile with other customers. Not sure why 🙁 but!!! I enjoy coming here for items they make/pickle/bag themselves, as well as for the variety of different products.

I should buy stock here! I can get any kind of flour... even ones I haven't heard of... lots of natural products... less expensive than most regular grocery or health food stores! The most beautiful thing is when I am shopping and the girls who work in repackaging start to sing! Such beautiful acapella singing! So edifying and sweet! Like angels!

I’ve recently started baking and in need of a lot of supplies, especially flour. I was told about the store by a friend of mine who also shops there. When you walk into the store your senses go crazy they have everything!!! That you could possibly need for baking Cooking, etc., and the people there are so friendly and will do anything you need to help you. The large bags of flour at the prices they have are extremely extremely competitive. The store is worth taking a ride to see. Trust me you will not be disappointed.RespectfullyJoe Richardson

Great hidden gem!Organic, global, and selections. Reasonable deli. Fresh cheeses in familiar and exotic flavors. How did they fit it all in?I saw ghee, kimchi, crepes, and penne alongside the largest selection of extracts, spices, and vinegars I have ever seen. Plus, bulk candies, chocolates, and baking supplies.Saffron in a jar? Check.Real vanilla beans? Check.Horseradish cheese? Check.Duck fat?, Dried mushrooms?, Champagne vinegar? Kombucha starter? Miso paste? Check, check, check, and check.I hope no one reads this because I want to keep this l to myself !You pay for quality and organicness, so it's not a great deal financially, but it's still a great find gastronomically.

I am not sure I would exactly classify this as a "Health Food Store" but they sure do have a wide selection of products in a small amount of space. I like that the products are put into plastic bags (for the most part) so that I can see what I am getting. I also like that they are sold by weight so I can get a smaller amount of something I want to try. I love their selection of rice, beans, pastas and snacks. Their selection of spices is unparalleled. They have a huge selection of jams and jellies all from local sources. I've never taken advantage of the deli though. I prefer to avoid processed meat products if I can.My friend in Chicago visits me annually and Echo Hill is always on our list of things to do. He loves the long-grain rice mixture. He usually ends up spending a couple hundred dollars!Since it is run by Amish folks, it is not open on Sunday. If you bring little kids you can keep them entertained watching the sheep in the field, too. While it is a small store, there is plenty of parking. In summary: Nice people, good selection, good products, good value, nice location.
